Goldsboro - Ms. Essie M. Yelverton, 83, passed on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 2:00pm at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, 206 Pearson Street, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery, 900 W. Brick Street (Hwy 117 Bypass), Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on February 22, 1938 in Wayne County, NC to Willie Lee Hamilton Sr. and Nina Cox Hamilton. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, siblings and other loving relatives and friends.
