Mt. Olive - Ms. Ethel Mae Williams, 90 of 904 S. Johnson Lane, passed on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Genesis Healthcare, Mt. Olive, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 1:00pm at Northeast Chapel FWB Church, E. James Street Ext., Mt. Olive, NC with Pastor Dennis Battle. She will be laid to rest at the Hillside Cemetery, Alex Benton Road, Newton Grove, NC. There will be a visitation held on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00pm until 7:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
She was born on February 14, 1925 in Duplin County, NC to Oscar Barden and Eliza Jane Bell Barden. She is survived by: , three sons: Mr. David Williams of Goldsboro, NC, Mr. Aroy Williams of Mt. Olive, NC and Mr. Roosevelt Williams Jr. of Washington, D.C.; three daughters: Mrs. Gloria Campbell-Williams of Mt. Olive, NC, Mrs. Annie Brinson and husband, Nathan of Goldsboro, NC and Ms. Shirley Williams of the home (Mt. Olive, NC); 27 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; two sister-in-laws: Reverend Mable Williams of Spring Lake, NC and Mrs. Mary Graham of Bronx, NY; one brother-in-law, Mr. Roy Williams of Spring Lake, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
