Dudley - Ms. Evelyn G. Deans, 84, passed on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at home. The celebration of her life will be held graveside on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 11:00am at Wayne Memorial Park North, 1191 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro,NC. There will be a viewing held on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on December 28, 1935 in Wayne County, NC to Webster Smith and Mildred Gibbs Hinnant. She is survived by her children: Agnes Gibbs Willoughby (Buddy), Hosea Gibbs (Geraldine), David McNair, Tammy Deans Sanders, Deannie Deans Lofton (Earl), Elder Leo Deans (Shawana) and Cleo Deans Harris; brothers: James Norman Smith (Finette), Willie Hinnant (Deborah) and Millard Hinnant (Van); an aunt, Ruth Gibbs Williams; her in-laws: Doris Artis (Albert), Emma Jacobs (Robert) and Ray Deans (Linda); grandchildren: Toni Clifton (Steve), Sharon Thacker, Shonda Brewington, Harold Holmes Jr., Tarkeisha Deans (Dexter), Terry Deans (Valeisha), Katina Smith (Marcus), Earl Deans (Jessica), Steve Deans (Ashley), Bisceglia McNair, Corey Lofton (Mecca), Tesha Isler (Harold), Garry Deans (Sheneka), Natasha Brewington (Lynnell), Tyrell Goodlin (Candy), DeVon Lofton, Tamika Sanders, Josh Deans, Jamar Deans, Britteny Deans (Claw), Chaniece Sanders, Jazmine McNair, Nicolas McNair, Taquanda Bynum, Keosha Harris; seventy-one (71) great grandchildren, twenty-two (22) great, great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and relatives.
