Georgia - Ms. Evelyn C. Grimes, 77, formerly of Wayne County, NC, answered the Master's call on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00am with a viewing from 10:00am to 10:45am at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the the Broadhurst Family Cemetery, Indian Springs Road, Seven Springs, NC.
She was born on August 20, 1945 in Wayne County, NC to Raymond Floyd and Rebecca Quinn Wooten. She is survived by her children: Terence Grimes (Maria) and Keisha Nelson; siblings: Geraldine Bowen, Wilma Kirk, Barbara Wooten-Baltimore (Ronald), Warnetta Beasley, James Wooten (Debra) and Anthony Wooten (Wanda); grandchildren: Kristen Grimes, Julian Grimes and Malia Williams and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
