La Grange - Ms. Evelyn "Lake" Williams, 87 of 389 Watershed Road, passed on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00pm at Mt. Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1289 Parkstown Road, La Grange, NC. She will be laid to rest at Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00pm until 7:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
She was born on July 7, 1928 in Wayne County, NC to Will and Nora Jackson Body. one daughter, Diane (Tony) Proctor of Maryland; two sons: Kelvin Williams of D.C. and Linwood E. Davis of Maryland; one son-in-law, Rick Hill of whom she lived with until her death; three grandchildren: Daleesha and Dahnia Proctor both of D.C. and Takeya Thomas of Maryland; six great-grandchildren: Precious, Colie, Cahron, and Jael Daivs all of Maryland, Dahnasia Proctor and Tashae Moore of D.C.; one brother, Robert (Margaret) Body of Elroy; two sister-in-laws: Sallie Body and Evelyn Body and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
