Goldsboro - Mr. Ezra Jackson Jr., 72, passed on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, NC, which will follow with military honors. He will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117, Dudley, NC with military honors. There will be a wake on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Mt. Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1289 Parkstown Road, La Grange, NC. The family will be at his home, 1109 LaGrange Road, La Grange, NC receiving friends.
He was born on June 10, 1943 in Norfolk, Virginia to Ezra Jackson Sr. and Ruby Summers Jackson. He is survived by a son, Terry Parks, Hyattsville,MD;a daughter, Nicole Shorter of Detroit, Michigan; five nephews: Sandy (Iris), Cedric (Annie), Keith Jackson, George Jr. and Tracy Hargrove, Parkstown Community, and a niece, Annette Hargrove of LaGrange, a special friend, Mable Bolar of Goldsboro, NC.
