Ms. Gail Lynnette Witcher's Obituary
Seven Springs - Ms. Gail L. Witcher, 68, transitioned from this earthly life on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC.
Gail Lynette Grimes Witcher was born September 5th, 1953, to Daisy Grimes and Carl Paxton. While staying at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Gail was ushered in the arms of Jesus on June 10th, 2022, at 7:50 pm after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Gail was born in Palmyra, New Jersey and attended Palmyra High School. She lived in Palmyra until she moved to Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Prior to her death, Gail was employed at The Bridge Church, where she served as bookkeeper for over 13 years. Gail loved the Lord. As a member of Generation Church, she served in various roles, always willing to work wherever she was needed. It was not uncommon for Gail to lend her bookkeeping skills to others within the body of Christ, never expecting anything in return.
Gail loved life. One of her favorite pastimes was relaxing at the beach, and it didn’t matter what season. Her most favorite thing was going to see her one and only son, Zachariah play his bass in concerts. It didn’t matter how many miles she had to travel. She was always fiercely proud of her boy.
Her mother Daisy, and brother Gregory preceded her in death, as well as siblings James Borden, Carl Borden, Lucius Borden, and Vanessa Jones. Gail is survived by her son, Zachariah Witcher of Nashville, TN; her father, Carl Paxton of Plattekill, NY; her siblings, April of Pennsauken, NJ; Alvie of Edgewater Park, NJ; Brian of Langhorn, PA; Kimberly of Cinnaminson, NJ; and Sister-in-law Nancy Grimes, of Palmyra, NJ. Other surviving siblings are Michael Borden, Lawrence Borden, Theresa Bangs, Elaine Casey, Deborah Scott (Lennow), and LaVonda Wright (Jerry). She is also survived by her godson, Brandon and nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends to cherish her memory. She will be missed by so many.
Services of caring, compassionate and distinguished class entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations of Goldsboro.
