Warsaw - Mr. George Prosper Smith Jr. "Punchy", 66, passed on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Smith Chapel Church, 141 Veachs Mill Road, Warsaw, NC with Pastor Herman Bell officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Smith Family Cemetery, Veachs Mill Road, Warsaw, NC. There will be a viewing held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 11:00am to 11:50am at Smith Chapel Church, 141 Veachs Mill Road, Warsaw, NC.
He was born on March 5, 1953 in Sampson County, NC to George Prosper and Evelyn Hill Smith Sr. He is survived by two sisters Cynthia S. Pitchford (Jake) of Nashville, NC and Delphine A. Smith of Saint Pauls, NC; one brother of the home, Victor R. Smith and Ron Smith (Hattie) of Philadelphia, PA; one aunt, Lessie Hill of Warsaw, NC and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
