Goldsboro- Mr. George "Spot" Wynn, 69, passed on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 12:00pm at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro at 2:00pm on Friday, August 9, 2019. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with the family arriving to greet friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on December 2, 1949 in Wayne County, NC to Lafayette and Fannie Davis Wynn Sr. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Wynn Dawson (William); his brother, James W. Wynn and his canine companion, Bear.
Services of compassionate and distinguished class entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations of Goldsboro.
The family is receiving friends at the home of his sister, 1400 Mimosa Street, Goldsboro, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
