Goldsboro - Ms. Gertrude Best, 88 of 2710 Langston Drive Apt. E53, passed on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy’s Road, Goldsboro, NC with Pastor Joe A. Jackson officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 10:00am to 10:50am at the church.
She was born on May 9, 1931 in Wayne County, NC to Allen and Amelia Swinson Best. She is survived by her children.
