Mr. Gregory Lynn Dillard's Obituary
Goldsboro - Mr. Gregory L. Dillard, 56, passed on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 12:00 noon at St. Mark Church of Christ, DOC, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest at 2:00pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
Gregory Lynn Dillard was born on February 6, 1962 in Wayne County, NC to Master Sergeant Hampton Alexander Dillard Sr. and Rubye Haskins Dillard. He was a brother, friend, and United States Air Force Veteran. Gregory graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1980. He attended North Carolina A&T University and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Predeceased by his siblings, Hampton Alexander Dillard Jr., Lettye Sue Dillard Clark, Keith Lynal Dillard; and his nephew, Hampton Alexander Dillard III; Gregory was married to Mary Davis Thrift Dillard, deceased.
Gregory will forever be remembered by his brother, Michael Lloyd Dillard (Jeanene); sister, Elliot Bryant; sister-in-law, Eleanor Dillard; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will not be forgotten by his nieces and nephews: Liza Danielle Dillard, Lanette McGlown, Aletta Clark Burton (Brandon), Michelle Dillard Rico (Saul), Jeana Shantelle Dillard, Ikiia Jones, Terrance J. Bryant, Nakya Bryant and Zyleiah Parker.
