Goldsboro - Mr. Gurney Lee Gardner Sr. "Buddy Boy", 83 of 1859 Mark Edwards Road, passed on Tuesday morning, November 10, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1:30pm at St. Mark Church of Christ DOC, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US 117 Hwy, Dudley, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm in the J.B Rhodes Jr Memorial Chapel at J.B Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born in Greene County, NC on January 17, 1932 to Frank Gardner and Larsie "Lossie" Bell Swinson Gardner. He is survived by his wife, Willie Jones Gardner and his children.
