Goldsboro - Ms. Helen Marie Carr Woods, 77 of 221 Herbert Street, passed on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 1:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. There will be a viewing held on Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the funeral home.
She was born on December 19, 1938 in Birmingham, AL to Tommie Carr and Martha Early Carr. She is survived by her three children: Sheryll W. Alexander, Andre G. Woods and Stephen G. Woods; five grandchildren: Kwame K. Woods, whom she raised, Kelly N. Alexander, Steven Adams, Dwayne Adams and Thomas Adams; three great-grandchildren: Briella Woods, Jayden Woods and Jonah Woods; her siblings; Luvenia Carr, Jennetter Carnes, Claudette C. Carr, Jimmie Lee Crochen and Dorothy Palmer.
