Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Dudley Mr. Henry Seymour “Red” Clay, 87 of 113 Dell Drive, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 6, 1925 to the late Annie Hicks and Otis Clay in Mecklenburg County, Clarksville, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents a sister and brother, and eldest son. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted companion of 26 years of the home, Ms. Joyce A. Hamilton; two daughters: Miss Joquita S. Clay of the home and Ms. Annese C. Sasser of Goldsboro; two sons: Mr. Timothy Clay of the Mar-Mac Community and Mr. Leon Cole (Renita) of Goldsboro; sister-in-law: Ms. Bessie Thompson of Goldsboro; Joyce’s children, whom he helped raise: Richika (Wayne) Robinson, Deena (Di’Arlo) Hamilton and Richard Q. Hamilton, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, cousins and friends. “Red” as he was affectionately known, worked for the Public Housing System, namely Goldsboro Housing Authority. He went on to create his own lawn care service after retiring in June of 1988. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Park North, 1191 Old Grantham, Goldsboro, NC at 2:00pm with Pastor Andrea Graham of God’s Glory Ministries officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 2:00pm – 7:00pm at J.B.
