Goldsboro - Elder Henry A. Gregory Jr., 73 of 306 S. James Street, passed on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at St. James AME Zion Church, 206 S. George Street, Goldsboro, NC. A memorial celebration service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Simon Temple AME Zion Church, 5760 Yadkin Road, Fayetteville, NC.
He was born on June 16, 1946 in Wayne County, NC to Henry A. and Bettie Mae Johnson Gregory Sr. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Coleen Harvey Gregory; three children: Elder Tonja Gregory-Hill (Jimmie), Pastor H.A. Gregory, III (Trea) and Chaplain George Gregory (LaTondra); sisters: Ruby Juliette “Judy” Gregory and Camelia “Sugaree” Gregory-Revels; brother, Ronnie A Gregory Sr.; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
