Goldsboro - Deacon Hersel C. Rowe, 87, a faithful servant, gained his heavenly reward on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 11:00am at St. James Church of Christ DOC, 514 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, NC. He will be laid to rest at at 2:00pm the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC with full military honors. There will be a church viewing held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at St. James Church of Christ DOC, 514 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, NC. Service will be live streamed on the J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations Facebook page.
He was born on October 23, 1934 in Wayne County, NC to Hadie Rowe Sr. and Addie Yelverton Rowe. He is survived by his loving wife, of 63 years, Cleo Daniels Rowe; his children and other loving relatives and friends.
