Dudley - Mrs. Hettie V. McCullen, 75, kept the faith and received her heavenly reward on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. The celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 12:00pm at the Church Of God And True Holiness, 611 Whitfield Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC. There will be a chapel visitation held on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born in Wayne County, NC on November 13, 1947 to Lena Mae Taylor and David Lee Smith. She is survived by loving husband, Council L. McCullen to whom she was married for nearly 57 years; four children: Darleen McCullen, Alvin McCullen, Adria McCullen and Andre McCullen; six grandchildren: Laquacia McCullen, Christopher McDuffie, Jr., Phillip McDuffie, Egypt Bunn, Iz'Rill Bunn and Perry Bunn, Jr.; three siblings: Rebecca (Alfonzo Sr.) Manley, Louise Broadie and Jennie King; one aunt, Bessie Oates.
