Goldsboro - Mr. J.B. Wooten Jr. (Bigg), 58 of 1801 N. George St, departed his life on May 1, 2014. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm at New Greenleaf Church of Christ, 301 W. Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, NC with Elder Thomasine Cowan. He will be laid to rest in the Broadhurst Cemetery, 3377 Indian Springs Rd., Seven Springs, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the family present from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. He was born on March 7, 1956 in Wayne County, NC to Rebecca Jane Quinn Wooten and J.B. Wooten Sr. He was a graduate of Goldsboro High School in 1975. He leaves cherished memories to: a son, Rolandus Montee Wooten (Goldsboro, NC); stepdaughter, Alnita Williams (Durham, NC); seven sisters: Geraldine Bowen (Blue Island, IL), Evelyn Grimes (Atlanta, GA), Wilma Kirk (Valdasta, GA), Barbara Wooten Balitmore (Raleigh, NC), Warnetta Wooten Beasley (Hampton, VA), Kana Wooten (Bartow, FL), Jalinda Wooten (Lakeland, FL); three brothers: Troy Quinn (Fayetteville, NC), James Wooten (Durham, NC), & Anthony Wooten (Goldsboro, NC); two grandchildren: Le’Darian Wooten (Ayden, NC) & Da’Zaiya Dixon (Dover, NC). Professional, sympathetic, dignified, compassionate care and service entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. Family will receive friends at 1902 E. Holly St., Goldsboro, NC, where they will also assemble for the funeral procession.
