Mr. J C Raynor's Obituary
Goldsboro - Mr. J C Raynor, 69 of 501 Vann Street, passed on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 12:00 noon at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC with a viewing being held from 11:00am to 11:50am. He will be laid to rest at 2:00pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC with military honors.
He was born on December 1, 1949 in Wayne County, NC to Elister and Thelma Pearsall Raynor. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna L. Raynor; one daughter, Sopphira “Nell” Washington; two stepsons: Darryl Ford and Antwan Harvey both of Goldsboro, NC; two young ladies who he raised as his daughters: Sharon “Neicy” Atkinson and Theresa “Ann” Uzzell both of Goldsboro, NC; one grandson, Tyquan Williams; one granddaughter, Enezia “Strawberry” Hall, one great granddaughter, Aniyah Williams; three sisters: Dorothy Raynor of Goldsboro, NC, Vivian Frazier of Fayetteville, NC and Hattie (Horace) Turner of Chesapeake, VA; a niece who was also raised as his sister, Teresa (Pastor Donald) Dewitt of Dudley, NC; four brothers: F.L. (Marjorie) Raynor of Fayetteville, NC, Ray (Gale) Raynor of Gastonia, NC, Booker T. (Eldress Ida) Raynor of Grantham, NC and Reverend Fletcher (Deborah) Raynor of Goldsboro, NC; two aunts: Blonnie M. Smith of Goldsboro, NC and Juanita Pearsall of Philadelphia, PA; five sisters-n-law, five brothers-n-law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. J.C. was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Chester Raynor.
