Fremont - Mr. James O. Artis, 82, faith servant, received his heavenly reward on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 12:00pm with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:45am at St. James Church of Christ DOC, 514 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 2136 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, NC 27830.
He was born in Wayne County, NC to September 22, 1940 to AJ Artis and Savannah Coley Artis. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Barnes Artis; his children and other loving relatives and friends.
