LaGrange- Mr. James E. Atkinson transitioned on Wednesday July 12, 2023 at home surrounded by family. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 1:00pm with a viewing from 12:00pm to 12:45pm at the Holy Temple Miracle Tabernacle, 524 Guthrie Turner Road, Snow Hill, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on May 20, 1940 in Wayne County, NC to William Atkinson and Louise Cox.
