Goldsboro - Mr. James L. Benton, 68, peacefully passed on Monday, June 12, 2023 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 1:00pm with a viewing from 12:00pm to 12:45pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 Highway 117 North, Pikeville, NC.
He was born on November 14, 1954 in Wayne County, NC to Roger and Villie Allen Benton. He is survived by his wife, Shelia Melton Benton a host of loving relatives and friends.
