James Douglas Thomas Best's Obituary
Goldsboro Mr. James Douglas "Tom" Thomas Best, 70 of 728 Luther Drive, passed on Monday night, March 18, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 2:30pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, with Reverend Joe Jackson officiating. Interment will be in the Best Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm with the family present from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. James was born on November 22, 1942 in Wayne County to Dock Herman and Luberta Smith Best. He is survived by two daughters, Akesha Jordan and Shaquetta Jordan; granddaughter, Azaiah Jordan; and his brothers and sisters. A professional, sympathetic, dignified and compassionate service has been entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
