Dudley - Mr. James Wesley Edwards, 89 of 301 Lorease Drive, passed on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11:30am at St. Luke Church of Christ, 430 E. Elm Street, Goldsboro, NC with Elder David Williams officiating. He will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 5:00pm until 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations of Goldsboro.
He was born on April 16, 1928 in Wilson County, NC to Mattie Sowers and Dan Edwards. He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Edwards Rich of the home and Carrie Ann (Timothy) Edwards-Martin of Raleigh.
