Faison - Mr. James Franklin Elliott, age 76, A remarkable man of strength and resilience passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. The celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 2:00pm at Moses Chapel Church of Christ, 165 David Bright Road, Faison, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Cobb Cemetery, Juniper Road, Faison, NC. There will be a chapel viewing held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on July 19, 1948 in Fremont, North Carolina to Marry Lee Tann. He leaves memories in the hearts of two sons: Marcus Kornegay (Leticia) of Goldsboro, NC and James Elliott Jr. of Durham, NC; two daughters: India Elliott of Houston, TX and Jammie Smith of Faison, NC; a brother and sister, Levon Tann and Mary Tann, both of Cary, NC; 12 grandchildren: Marcus Kornegay, James Kornegay, Cedric Kornegay, Jraud Elliott, Courdeni Elliott, Bre’auna Heath, Zaqua Lincoln, Jaeton Stevenson, Anthony Kornegay, Londyn Boone and Cory Smith; 4 great- grandchildren: Anna Kornegay, Lily Kornegay, Marcus Kornegay, and Elijah Kornegay. He also leaves a host of cousins, other family members, and friends to cherish treasured memories.
