Mr. James Eugene Faison Sr's Obituary
Princeton - James Eugene Faison Sr. son of the late Daniel Faison Sr. and Addie Faison, was born on July 12, 1941, in Wayne County, North Carolina. He lived a life defined by faith, service, hard work, and devotion to his family as Moes
James proudly served his country in the United States Army from October 1, 1965, until September 30, 1968. During his military service, he attained the rank of Sergeant (SGT) and served honorably during the Vietnam War. Upon completing his service, he received an Honorable Discharge.
Following his military service, James dedicated more than 40 years of employment to Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. in Goldsboro, North Carolina. As a transformer assembler, he was known for his dedication, dependability, and strong work ethic. After more than four decades of faithful service, he retired, leaving a lasting impact on his coworkers and community.
On June 11, 2026, James peacefully entered eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Daniel Faison Sr. and Addie Faison; and by his brothers and sisters, Gloria Taylor, Clifton Faison, David Faison, and Joyce Ann Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving children: Camika Ashford of Mount Olive, North Carolina; James E. (Tashiea) Faison Jr. of El Paso, Texas; and Joanna (John) Hughes of Evans, Georgia.
He is also survived by his beloved siblings: Daniel Faison Jr. of Jackson, Mississippi; William (Leona) Faison of Newton Grove, North Carolina; John (Ruth) Faison of Princeton, North Carolina; Archer (Bell) Faison of Washington, D.C.; Shirley Everett of Maryland; and sister-in-law Carolyn Faison of Princeton, North Carolina.
James was the proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.
He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, dear friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory and the many lives he touched.
James' life was a testament to dedication, perseverance, and love. His service to his country, commitment to his work, and devotion to his family created a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
The Celebration of Life will be , Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 12:00 PM at JB Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534. There will be e viewing from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 US Hwy 117 North, Pikeville, NC 27863.
