Goldsboro - Reverend James E. King, 75 of 1221 North Drive, passed on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Bear Creek Headquarters, with Reverend Charles Franklin officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Atkinson Chapel Church Cemetery, 634 S. Oak Forest Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 1:00 pm until 5:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. From 6:00pm until 7:00pm, the family will be receiving friends at Atkinson Chapel Church, 634 S. Oak Forest Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on December 28, 1939 in Wayne County, NC to James Henry King and Mary Elizabeth Bailey King. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Sykes King of the home, three children: Teresa King and Anthony King both of Goldsboro, NC and Felicia (Harvey) King Smith of Dudley, NC; grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings.
