Kinston - Mr. James Ohara "Bright Eye" Morgan, 64, passed on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital, Kinston, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 11:00am at Jericho AME Zion Church, 2964 NC Hwy 11 N., Kinston, NC. He will be laid to rest at Westview Cemetery, Kinston, NC. There will be a visitation held on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends at 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Nannie D. Loftin Memorial Chapel at Loftin Memorial-J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 106 N. East Street, Kinston, NC.
He was born on December 23, 1950 in Lenoir County, NC to James and Dorothy Morgan. He is survived by his son, Lamont Morgan of Greensboro, NC; six sisters: Mirinda (Wendell) Wallace, Barbara Robinson, Gloria Sloan, Mary (Virgil) Rosber, Winnie Morgan and Patricia Williams; two uncles: Charles (Wilnette) Morgan and Daniel (Blanche) Morgan.
