Goldsboro - Mr. James Woodrow Rhodes "Buddy", 95 of 306 S. Herman Street, passed on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00am at Greater Guiding Star, 1114 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born on April 8, 1920 to Ella Rhodes Moore and Henry Joe Carter. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Whitfield Rhodes, his son, James Woodrow "Jimmy" Rhodes (Sandra) Jr. and two daughters: Melba Rhodes Spencer of the home and Ella Rhodes Flanagan of Greenville, NC.
