Jean Juliette Smith-Dorsey's Obituary
Goldsboro Ms. Jean Smith-Dorsey, 57 of 315 N. Virginia Street, died Thursday, November 8, 2012. Her homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11:00am in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations with Minister Charles Evans as the eulogist. She will be laid to rest in the Elmwood Cemetery. There will be viewing from 4:00pm until 7:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 16, 2012. Ms. Smith-Dorsey was born on January 23, 1955 in Wayne County, NC to Earl J. Smith and the late Doris Thomas Smith. She served in the U.S. Army, and worked at the VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois until her health began to decline. She was preceded in death by her mother, brother and a ister. She leaves to cherish her memories: her father, Earl J. Smith; two children, Adolph W. Stewart and Pia C. Stewart; two sisters, Lois E. (Minister Charles) Evans and Draksie A Fields; three grandchildrean and many other loving relatives and friends. A professional, sympathetic and dignified service entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
