Mr. Jimmy C. Dowell, 81, completed his earthly assignment on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at UNC Wayne Healthcare, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 2:30pm with a viewing from 1:30pm to 2:15pm First Congregational United Church of Christ, 215 Sleepy Creek Road, Dudley, NC. He will be laid to rest on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 12:00pm at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC. The service will be live streamed on our J.B. He was born on July 2, 1942 in Surry County, NC to Claude Dowell and Clyde Phillips. He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine Porter Dowell; his children; grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.
