Goldsboro - Mr. Jimmy Stokes, 72, passed on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2:00pm at St. Matthew AME Zion Church, 1500 N. William Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, 900 W. Brick Street (Hwy 117 Bypass), Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on May 7, 1947 in Wayne County, NC to Willie Allen Stokes and Elene Braswell Stokes. He is survived by his daughter, grandchildren and siblings.
