Goldsboro - Mrs. Joanie Denise Dortch Speight, 62 of 704B N. Claiborne Street, passed on Tuesday evening, December 29, 2015 at Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11:00am in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. There will be a viewing held on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 10:00am until 11:00am in the chapel.
She was born on March 16, 1953 in Wayne County, NC to Kenneth Dortch and Mildred L. Ford Dortch. She is survived by her husband, Roland Speight of the home and her son, Kenneth Jetton of Hampton, VA.
