Dudley - Mr. Joe Artis III., 77, has departed this earthly life to be reunited with his beloved wife, Mrs. Delna W. Artis & his Heavenly father, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held graveside on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11:00am at Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on July 3, 1944 in Wayne County, NC to Joe Artis Jr. and Elouise Adams Artis. He is survived by three sons: Joe (Tamyra) Artis IV of Goldsboro, Cedric (Reneé) Artis of Goldsboro, NC and Joshua (Michelle) Artis of Pooler, GA; one sister; four brothers; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
