Goldsboro - Deacon John E. Sasser, 73, went from labor to reward on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 12:00pm with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:45am at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 601 W. Elm Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 12:00pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on January 26, 1949 in Wayne County, NC to James "Ollie" Sasser and Mary Lee Davis. He is survived by his wife, Janice Faye Sasser; his children and other loving relatives and friends.
