Goldsboro - Mr. John Smith Jr. "June", 57 of 813 1/2 E. Walnut Street, passed on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. The celebration of his life will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 2:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. There will be viewing held on Monday, February 16, 2015 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm in the chapel. He was born on March 24, 1957 in Scotland County, NC to John Horace and Inez Wilkinson Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Markeeta Kelly; sister, Annie Sarah Smith; brother, Daniel Allen Smith; stepmother, Lola Mae Smith; special aunts: Ora Lee, Jane Johnson and Nettie McKoy; two grandchildren; seven stepsisters; two stepbrothers and a host of other relatives and friends. Professional, sympathetic, compassionate care and service entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremation.
