Goldsboro - Mr. John L. Ward, 71 of 1008 S. Taylor Street, passed on Monday, March 4, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. The celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 12:00 noon at St. Luke Church of Christ, 636 Waller Road, Mt. Olive, NC. He will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 11:00am to 11:50am at the church.
He was born on October 8, 1947 in Wayne County, NC to Cleveland and Lillie Mae Wynn Ward. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosetta Carlisle Ward; two daughters: Tomeka Ward and Crystal Ward; eight grandchildren and his siblings.
