First, I would like to extend my deepest heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Mrs. Mickens and family. No words can express the way I feel of the loss of such a sweet kind hearted genital man who never complained. My heart is still so heavy.Mr.Mickens was more than just a driver to take people where they needed to go, he was a genuine friend who was loved by many. He had a beautiful spirit about him he was one of a kind. We talked laughed and joked all the time when ever he picked me up. Mr. Mickens I'm gonna miss your smile your laugh and phone calls Mr. Mickens would call and say your ready and I would say yes and he would say Well cone on out then. He was so funny I looked forward to him picking me up. I'm just going to miss everything. Mr. Mickens knew I cared about him and his well being. Nothing will never be the same. Mr. Mickens you are truly from the bottom of my are going to be missed! God has truly gained an angel. I/we will always love you. Barbara Pearsall
Loss for words still after learning the passing of your sweet and humble spirit on Wednesday morning, You were so reliable and considerate of other peoples feelings. You always put your passengers concerns first. I loved when you would call say I got you today baby where we going lol. I knew my time on the van would be so fun and exciting, nor a dull moment with Mr. Mickens. I'm really going to miss you the rides to work or anywhere; wont be the same, you are definitely going to be miss and certainly irreplaceable.
I just learned of this this morning!!! My heart is still heavy. He picked me up every Sunday to take me to work. Our last ride together he said he was going to take some time off & take care of himself. I will truly miss him!!! Mrs Mickens, u and your family have my sympathies & condolences! God bless you all. I had just prayed for him when I woke up yesterday, for his returned good health...the whole while he was gone & I didn't know it.
