Mr. Joseph Nicholas Holmes' Obituary
Dudley - Mr. Joseph N. Holmes, 54, completed his earthly journey and transitioned from labor to reward, Saturday, February 24, 2024. There will be a chapel viewing held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 2:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
Joseph was born December 3, 1968 to Inez Holmes Cox and Joseph Cox in Yale New Haven Hospital. Joseph was full of life and loved a good joke. He was always smiling and happy as ever. He lived everyday to the fullest.
Joseph graduated Culinary School and he loved to cook. He also pursued the profession of plumbing. Joseph joins his father, Joseph Cox and wife, Pattie Marie Whitfield Holmes in heaven. He leaves behind seven children and seven grand children. If you know Joseph, you know how much he loved his kids. His wishes were for all his children to remain together. His living children are Dionte Artis, Krystal Owens, Dyashia Holmes, Jamaris Holmes, Joseph Holmes, Zamora McKnight & Joyce Holmes. He also leaves behind his partner in life, Maria Vazquez, brother, Dometrius Cox and two nieces & one nephew.
He was loved by many family members and friends. He loved his family relative or non relative. He was a people person and once you met him, he already loved you and you loved him. Joseph will be missed by all. His favorite sayings were "here is the extra & self preservation is key. We ask when you remember Joseph our father, you picture a bright sunny day in the country with the grill burning and music blasting. He had a positive effect on people. We like to call it JoJo effect.
