Joey and I were born 10 months apart and at the age of 16 and 15, respectively,we hung tight. My mother, Rachel, and Joey's mother Aunt Janie would leave to play BINGO on Fridays and Saturdays from 7-11:30 pm. They wouldn't be gone for 5 minutes before Joey and I would leave to go to a party where we would dance the night away, having a ball. But just like the story of Cinderella, when the clock struck 11, we were racing through Redfern to beat our Mothers home. We'd get to the front door with 10 minutes to spare and... that doggone Val had locked the door and put the chain on it! We then had to run around to the "Turtle Park" and climb through the window. He lifted me up first and he'd follow. We would make it into the house in the nick of time... already looking forward to the next week and the next party. I love you Cuz, you will be missed. Always with loving thoughts, Barbara.
All of us here at Carolina Ambulance (CAST) send out deepest condolences to Mr. Joseph Robinson's family and friends. We would take Mr. Robinson to all of his doctors appointments and, even during painful times, he would cheer us up during good days and bad. We will miss Mr. Robison dearly.

My name to the family

Sorry to read of Joes' passing. He was a 'jack of all trades'. Many times, he 'fixed' things around the house and another house, and several other houses. He could strike up a conversation about any and everything. He will be missed.
Daddy…🕊️🙏🏾💔

One sweltering summer in Cape Charles, VA, Joey, a New Yorker struggling with southern Virginia's intense 95°F+ heat, found his own clever way to cope. Resourceful and relentless, Joey would march right to the fridge, open the door, and stand in the blast of cool air—only to be shooed away by his grandfather, only to sneak right back as soon as the coast was clear.
