Goldsboro- Ms. Joyce Peterkin, 86, transitioned, Monday October 23,2023 at Novant Health in Huntersville, North Carolina, surrounded by her loved ones. Her Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 28,2023 at 11:00 AM at Goldsboro Chapel Freewill Baptist Church 1314 Ben Brewington Court Goldsboro, NC 27530.There will be a viewing from 10:00-10:45 AM. She will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Park South Breazeale Ave. Mt. Olive, NC 28365.
She was born September 27, 1937 in Wayne County, North Carolina to Ms. Lucille Oates. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Peterkin. She is survived by and leaves to cherish her memories. her children, Eugene Oates, Keith Peterkin ( Yolanda), Robyn Peterkin and Charlotte Peterkin and her grandchildren, Phylicia Oates and Demetris Johnson as well as host of other relatives and friends.
