Goldsboro - Mrs. Joyce Ellis Dixon Stephens, 70, passed on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in Fairbanks, Alaska. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Central Heights FWB Church, 302 Ervin Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest in the Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She was born on March 3, 1944 in Duplin County, NC to Alex Swift and Helen Lenora Alderman Batts. She is survived by her husband, Harry Stephens; 7 children, Tonya Batts Nolley (Bobby) of Charlotte, NC, Henry F. Lewis of Goldsboro, NC, Reginald Lewis of Hartford, CT, Shawn Lewis of Marietta, GA, Corey F. Lewis (Tosha) of Goldsboro, NC, Anthony Lewis of Goldsboro, NC, and Latisha Lewis Davis (Charles) of Eielson AFB, AK.; 37 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. brothers: Ronnie and Osmond Swift; sister, Cynthia; sister-in-laws: Barbara Stackhouse, Patricia Thompson, Christine Nickies, and Edna McGhee; Special Aunt and friend, Margaret.
