Mrs. Kathleen Outlaw's Obituary
Dudley - Mrs. Kathleen Outlaw, 86, formerly of La Grange, NC, transitioned on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:00am at Mt. Calvary FWB Church, 602 S. Wooten Street, La Grange, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montford Landing Road, Jacksonville, NC. There will be viewing held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Loftin Memorial-J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 106 N. East Street, Kinston, NC.
Kathryn Degraffenreid Outlaw was born on July 19, 1935 in Lenoir County to the late Edna Sutton Degraffenreid and Allen Degraffenreid. Kathleen leaves a rich legacy of love, compassion and concerned for all those who were fortunate to have crossed her path. Left to cherish her legacy and memory are three sons: Overseer Edward (Deborah) Outlaw of Laurel, Maryland, Anthony (Cindy) Outlaw of Fort Worth, Texas; and Terrence (Keisha) Outlaw of Raleigh, NC. Six daughters: Barbara (James) Miller of LaGrange, NC; Juanita (Levon) Rasberry of Kinston, NC; Marietta (Reginald) Lofton of LaGrange, NC; Francine Morgan of Dudley, NC; Wanda Outlaw of Kinston, NC; Rhonda Outlaw of Houston, Texas, and two foster children, Vona’ Newborn and Rolenza Hatcher. A sister from another mother Carol Surtain of Goldsboro, NC. A special cousin -Dorothy Wooten. A special friend Mabel Sutton of Goldsboro, NC. Thirty grandchildren, forty-eight great- grandchildren, fourteen great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Together with God and her beloved husband.
