Goldsboro - Ms. Kay Frances Ray, 78, passed on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 12:00pm at St. Mark Church of Christ, DOC - Faro, 893 Lanetown Road, Stantonsburg, NC with Dr. Robert D. Hood officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Fremont Cemetery, 174 Winding Branch Ave., Fremont, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations of Goldsboro.
She was born on February 23, 1940 in Goldsboro, North Carolina to the late Annie Bell Ray and Elroy Artis. She is survived by cherish her loving memories two daughters; Deborah Ray of the home and Rochelle Jones (Felton) of Grifton, NC; one son Morris Ray of Capitol Heights, MD; eight grandchildren Termal Ray, Kyron Ray, Kinuata Ray, Delvonte Moye, Desiree Moye, Anthony Ray, Decorris Ray and Morris Ray, Jr.; fifteen great grandchild; two sisters; Helen Williams (Freddie) of Goldsboro, NC and Dorothy Smith (Kelly) of Snow Hill, NC; one brother Leon Raye of Temple Hills, MD; one sister in-law, Ruth Ray of Philadelphia, PA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
