Mr. Kernard Dawson, Sr.'s Obituary
Fayetteville - Mr. Kernard Dawson Sr., 66, passed on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at St. Joseph Free Will Baptist Church, 280 Claridge Nursery Road, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC with military honors. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, March 6, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, Inc.
He was born on January 20, 1950 in Wayne County, NC to Susie Anna Dawson and Charles Hope. He is survived by four children: Kernard Dawson Jr., Kathrine (Varez) Best, Katina (Martin-Luther) Keel and Linwood (Lori) James all of Goldsboro, NC; his twin brother, Bernard (Annie Doris) Dawson of Goldsboro, NC; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
