Goldsboro - Mr. Lafayette Jordan, 71 of 1106 N. John Street, passed on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 1:00pm at Philadelphia Community Church, 357 Hare Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the church. He will laid to rest at a later date at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on August 10, 1945 in Wayne County, NC to Luke Jordan and Rachel Barnes Jordan. He is survived by two brothers: John Earl "Ted" Jordan and George Jordan.
