Ivey, 60, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Kitty Askins Hopice Center. A private funeral will be held with immediate family. Larry was born on April 3, 1952, to Rudolph and Ruth Strickland Ivey in Washington, D.C. Until his health failed, he was a truck driver. He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter: Misty Ivey of Jacksonville, NC; a son, Dallas Ivey who is serving our country; his father: Rudolph Ivey of Goldsboro, NC; two sisters: Elizabeth Peedin of Goldsboro, NC and Peggy Clapp of South Beloit. IL. He leaves many other loving relatives and friends. Final care sympathetic and dignified care has been entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations.
