Larry Thomas Reid, son of the late Lafayette Reid and Sallie Armwood Reid was born in Wayne County on July 16, 1945. He departed this life on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Washington Hospital Center. Larry attended Wayne County Public Schools and graduated from Dillard High School in 1963. He was a Vietnam Veteran and when honorably discharged from the Army, moved to Washington, D. C. Larry had a love for life and enjoyed fishing, being with family and friends and cheering for his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. The youngest of sixteen children, he was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 6 sisters. He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Tobias Daniels of Goldsboro, NC; two sisters, Dollie Ruth Greenfield and Annie Doris Smith, both of Goldsboro, NC; one brother-in-law, Amaziah Howell of Goldsboro, NC; one sister-in-law, Rosa Reid of Fremont, NC; one dear friend, Angelina Lanier of Washington, DC and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
