Goldsboro - Mr. Larry L. Ward, 79, completed his earthly journey and transitioned from this walk of life on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 12:00pm at First Congregational UCC Cemetery, Old Mt. Olive Hwy, Dudley, NC. There will be a chapel visitation held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on December 4, 1944 to Benjamin & Ethel Brewington. He is survived by his wife, Oletha Boseman Ward of Goldsboro, NC; three children: Enga (Eric O'Neil) Sutton of Dudley, NC, Eric Ward and Virgil Ward, both of Goldsboro NC; one sister, Valerie Brewington of Philadelphia, PA; one brother, Dennis Williams of Coney Island, NY; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
