Goldsboro - Mr. Leonard Wayne Lewis, 86, passed on Friday, June 3, 2016. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00am at First Missionary Baptist Church, 410 S. Goldsboro Street, Fremont, NC. He will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 410 S. Goldsboro Street, Fremont, NC from 3:00pm until 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00m until 7:00pm.
He was born on August 23, 1929 in Wayne County, NC to John Lewis and Ida Adams Lewis. He is survived by his daughters: Lorie Lewis of Goldsboro, NC and Lorraine Lee of Dudley, NC; his son: Carl Lewis of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
